Galway WFC claimed an encouraging WNL win over a spirited Bohemians outfit at Eamonn Deacy Park.
Billy Clery’s team netted twice in five minutes before half-time.
After the restart Galway added a third, but the visitors’ did respond.
Chloe Darby’s 71st minute goal from a corner gave Bohs some hope, but Galway closed out the match in an effective manner.
Inevitably Rachel Kearns occupied a central role, scoring for Galway WFC on the half hour mark.
Kearns was heavily involved also prior to Kate Slevin’s sharp strike in the 35th minute.
A third was bagged in the 50th minute when Lynsey McKey rattled the Bohs net following excellent work by Chloe Singleton.
In the closing stages Bohs responded with Darby scoring directly from a corner.
The industrious Singleton was sent off in stoppage time for a second bookable offence.
